Riverside County Innovation

Innovation has long been a hallmark of Riverside County, with its roots in the revolutionary California Navel Oranges that took hold within its borders almost 150 years ago. Today, the region continues to attract investors, visionaries, and entrepreneurs who are planting the seeds of innovation and giving it a new lease on life. To support this growth, Riverside County has established a network of Innovation Centers that have helped raise hundreds of millions of dollars for new ventures in the last decade, and are poised to attract even more investment to the region.

This ecosystem of Innovation Centers is not only driving investment but also job growth throughout the County. The Inland Empire, which includes both Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, has outpaced the nation in tech job growth, with tech jobs growing 3.5% in the region in 2018, second only to the state. According to The Center for Social Innovation at the University of California, Riverside, innovation-related jobs in Riverside County have grown a staggering 74% over the last five years, cementing the region's position as a thriving center for innovation and job creation.
